Somusa Mthembu posted an efficiency of 19, scoring most of his points from the perimeter. He was 4/4 from the field, accompanying this with 4 blocks.

Malakia Loate, the MVP of the game was the highest scorer  with 15 points, and two timely three pointers made in overtime to urge the team to its victory.

Everisto Pasipamire recorded 9 points,  and 15 rebounds, while captain Mlungisi Shongwe chipped in with 11 points and 5 rebounds.

 

The game was tooth and nail from the beginning with both teams trading baskets.  With about 14 seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter, Sbu Mabulala of the Marlins tied the game with a dagger from beyond the arc . The next possession would belong to the Tshwane Suns who failed to take advantage of the possession and allowing the game to go into overtime

The team showed great character and mental toughness as they willed their way to a W after overtime. Defense played a big role in the extra  minutes as we saw a timely steal from Tshepo Matsie who was fouled on the break to finalize the win by making both his free-throws
